A Bathroom That Works for the Way You Live
Most bathrooms we see in Pflugerville and the surrounding area work fine on paper. The water runs and the toilet flushes. But the shower is cramped, the garden tub hasn't been used in years, there's nowhere to put anything, and the tile and fixtures look exactly like the year the house was built.
A bathroom remodel fixes the things that bug you every single morning. More room to move, storage that actually holds your stuff, lighting you can see by, and a shower you look forward to. It also adds real value when it's time to sell.
Residential Renovations 512 is based right here in Pflugerville. When you call, you talk to Mike, the owner, and he stays your point of contact from the first visit to the final walkthrough.
Our Bathroom Remodeling Services
From a vanity and tile refresh to a complete gut remodel, here's what we do.
Tub-to-Shower Conversions
Many 1990s and 2000s homes came with a large garden tub that almost never gets used. We replace it with a roomy walk-in shower that fits how you actually get ready.
Walk-In & Curbless Showers
Frameless glass, built-in niches, benches, rain heads and low or zero-threshold entries that are easier to step into now and as you get older.
Vanities & Storage
New vanities, double sinks, linen storage and medicine cabinets that give everything a place, so the counter isn't the storage.
Tile & Flooring
Floors, shower walls and accent walls in porcelain, ceramic or natural stone, laid flat, straight and on a properly prepared base.
Lighting & Ventilation
Layered lighting around the mirror and shower, and an exhaust fan sized for the room, so moisture leaves instead of turning into mildew.
Full Gut Remodels
Down to the studs when it makes sense: new layout, new plumbing locations, new everything. We coordinate every trade so you have one contact.
Built Right Behind the Tile
Here's something most homeowners don't know: tile and grout are not waterproof. Water gets through grout lines every time you shower. What keeps it out of your walls and subfloor is what's behind the tile.
A properly built shower has a waterproof membrane behind the tile, a pan that slopes correctly to the drain, and sealed corners, niches and seams. Skip those steps and the shower can look perfect for a year or two while water quietly soaks into the framing. By the time you see a stain, a soft spot or loose tile, the repair means tearing it all out again.
That's where cheap bathroom remodels cut corners, because nobody sees it once the tile is up. We don't. It's also why we take care with the base under floor tile. Much of the Pflugerville area sits on clay soil that shifts with the seasons, and good prep is what keeps new tile from cracking.

Bathroom Remodeling FAQs
Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel in Pflugerville?
It depends on the work. Swapping finishes like tile, a vanity in the same spot, or a mirror usually doesn't need one. Moving plumbing, adding electrical circuits, or changing walls usually does. Inside Pflugerville city limits, permits come from the City of Pflugerville; in Austin, Round Rock and other cities, they come from that city. We tell you what your project needs and pull the permits as part of the job.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
A vanity and tile refresh moves much faster than a full gut remodel that relocates plumbing or walls, and special-order items like glass or custom vanities can add lead time. You get a written timeline with your estimate, before any work starts.
Can I stay in my home during the remodel?
Yes. Most of our customers live at home while we work. We protect floors and nearby rooms, contain dust, and clean up the work area at the end of each day. If it's your only bathroom, we'll plan the schedule around that with you.
Should I remove my bathtub?
In a primary bathroom, trading a rarely used garden tub for a large walk-in shower is one of the most popular updates we do. If you have young children or plan to sell soon, it's usually smart to keep at least one tub somewhere in the house. We'll talk it through with you honestly.
Do you do smaller bathroom updates?
Yes. New vanities and countertops, a tile refresh, new fixtures and lighting, or a single shower update are all welcome.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free. We come to your home, look at the space, listen to what you want, and give you a clear, written price.
